Gefreiter chevron, courtesy of the Boschmann. Cheers fell! :D

The backing is feldgrau, is this relevant to the M40, or should it be bottle green?

Feldgrau is relevant to Heer and black to the SS.

Cool. I thought I'd seen them in bottle green backing, but I guess that's M36.

Did you suss your zelt Kav ? ours have spinter on the external side and t & w on the inside, so its kinda obvious, that and the seams on the inner side give it away.

Got it sorted last night, and skirmished in it today, will post a few pics Shrek took of me.

Latest acquisitions:- Soldbuch and a water bottle courtesy of wazza. The bottle is a bit tatty, and it's a civvy one, but at a good price so I can't complain - just need to find out how to fill in the soldbuch now!

That's what I thought, Andy - will sew everything on when I have my new shoulderboards and litzen. Where exactly do I position the chevron - been looking on the internet for two days and still none the wiser. :?

Believe it or not, I've looked at that too! You couldn't measure it for me (if it's still on there), could you?

Yesterday I ordered 2 US M1917 Helmet liners and one complete restored one from Prairie Flower Leather Company.

And there's another load of Beef Jerky from Martin's on the way ;)

One liner is to repair an British-made 1918-dated shell I've got. It will probably go to a new owner afterwards.

The other liner is for a friend of mine.

And the complete helmet is for my Doughboy impression.

A small collection of my stuff in the new "Quarter Master Room"

The two-meter wide wardrobe is barely big enough to contain it all ;)

I would've dragged both jeeps upstairs and stuff them in the wardrobe, but I just couldn't be arsed ;)

Then there's the footlocker, the gunlocker, a lot more cameras....and a few more coats....

I've managed to get it in one room, you should see WDRob's place ;)
